Medical Linux

Medical Linux adalah sebuah sistem operasi berbasis linux (xubuntu) yang secara khusus digunakan dalam dunia medis maupun kesehatan. Beberapa koleksi perangkat lunak yang berada dalam sistem operasi tersebut dapat berjalan pada komputer Anda.

Projek Medical Linux pertama kali digagas oleh Dr. Mahmud Ghaznawie dan Fadly Kasim bersama Tim ICT Center Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Hasanuddin kemudian pada pengembangan selanjutnya dilakukan oleh organisasi internal STMIK AKBA yang fokus pada pemanfaatan teknologi open source yakni Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Cyber Open Source STMIK AKBA Makassar.

Aeskulap Viewer

Aeskulap is a medical image viewer.
It is able to load a series of special images stored in the DICOM format for review. Additionally Aeskulap is able to query and fetch DICOM images from archive nodes (also called PACS) over the network.
The goal of this project is to create a full open source replacement for commercially available DICOM viewers. Details

Simple tool for the desktop to mantain medical records. It is thought to be easy to use and it’s mainly addressed to a single doctor. Details

Cycle

Cycle is a calendar program for women. Given a cycle length or statistics for several periods, it can calculate the days until menstruation, the days of “safe” sex, the fertile period, and the days to ovulations, and define the d.o.b. of a child. It allows the user to write notes and helps to supervise the reception of hormonal contraceptive tablets. Details

FreeMedForms

FreeMedForms is a multi-user, Open EMR (electronic medical record) manager. It is free and open source. The main objective of FreeMedForms is to create a highly dynamic EMR manager where patient files are defined by a set of XML scripted files. Interoperability and internationalization are main objectives too. Details

FreeDiams

FreeDiams prescriber is the result of FreeMedForms prescriber plugins built into a standalone application. FreeDiams is a multi-platform (MacOS, Linux, FreeBSD, Windows), free and open source released under the GPLv3 license.

It is mainly developed by medical doctors and is intended for use by these same professionals. It can be used alone to prescribe and / or test drug interactions within a prescription. It can be linked to any application thanks to its command line parameters
